Default Upgrade Big Bear to 450 Kodiak; Good or bad

i dont think the belt slipping is serious or really happens too often. its just fuel that honda and kawasaki riders use to try and burn down the indusrty leading yamaha atvs. besides, you cant be riding through mud that deep with the big bear. and if you do it can be comfortable w/o full floorboards, those stock tires and w/o superior ground clearence that only a big bore can give you. i still think the trade up will be a good decision enjoy ur kodiak. and even if ur old lady doesnt let u make the trade, do it any way. she probably wont even notice, just tell her you downsized and saved money. they dont know this stuff.

I dont know. Im not familiar with the 03 bear. does it have low range?

The diff lock is a nice feature. The ultramatic belt system made by yamaha is the best in the industry hands down. With that said Im sure you will be happy with it.

Low range is awesome and with Diff lock you can go almost anywheres.

Hey alaksa boy could you send me the bypass information?

Took the words right out of my mouth. If honduh made a belt drive bike then they would be great, but they won't because they don't have to.Honduh riders are happy with yesterdays technology,I for one like brakes, suspention, ground clearance,2-4wd,locking diff.,etc.But hey if there were no honduhs there would be no aftermarket.
