Default Banshee Reeds

Since I have had my Banshee every mod I have done has been to try and get more bottom end and widen up the powerband. I have the low end power I am looking for, but my power is still way to peaky, and the only thing I can think of on the quad that isnt made for low end is the reeds. Could the V-force reeds be causing the peaky power I am getting??

when i added reeds to mine it seemed to smooth out the powerband alot, and it was my understanding that v-force reeds were a bottem end reed...

Man, your riding a 2 stroke just hold on tight..........that peaky power is what I love best, on a more serious note, you might be experiencing some break up before coming on to the pipe the hit would seem more violent as it clears up all at once on the pipe, if so just adjust your needle clip position and test.

You could get a 2 into 1 midrange pipe and that would help. Another thing would be porting. You could have the transfers raised and angled up more.

If ya want more bottom by a timing plate.Set it on about 7 degrees and raise your pilot jet to around a 30.I've seen too many gegree keys shear off and it doesn't make a nice noise when they do.Good luck.BTW you can get a timing plate on ebay for about $50 and they work fine.

all those things add bottom end, but they dont take out the powerband hit I think hes trying to get rid of.

Yeah I know. You can try all kinds of stuff but it's stilll a Banshee.Of all the things I've done the timing plate helps most on a stock port bike though.I do an MX port that'll help the bottom big time, but I don't think he was wanting to do all that.
