I totally agree with dabeeeech 2strokes are hard to beat. Power to weight ratio . How ever with new technology in metals and fuel , fuel systems there are getting to be some incredible 4 strokes . Here is a 700HP nitro v twin . It has a displacment of 175CI which would equal out to about 6x 535cc banshees

700 H.P V twin . thats pretty close to the 2 stroke displacement= HP but this engine would be much lighter than 6 shee mills .

And then we come back to the big kicker $$$$$$$$$$$$ money money money Going fast = big bucks

They are only getting close if using nitro,turbos,superchargers etc...

Those of you who are familiar with snowmobiles can relate to my next comparison; Yamaha produces a sled called the RX1 it uses the 1000cc R1 street bike engine.The RX1 puts out 140hp,its peak torque is 82ft pounds while at the same time Arctic Cat's Firecat 700cc 2 stroke twin produces 140hp and has a peak torque of 95ft pounds...On top of it the Firecat weighs at least 100 pounds less than the Yamaha RX1.!!!

 

This is proof that if you had something important to say you would, but rather you post negativety on a thread that ACTUALLY has credible information in it. Nobody else is calling anybody names or challenging other members knowledge.

Stock Vs Stock out of my two quads the Raptor is faster in Top End then my Banshee. There both bad A$$ and there both one of the fastest out there. When Modified even 2000 into each the Banshee will be faster with ease, I mean ease. The Raptor responds to mods great but the Banshee does great great lol. Both sweet and both can be made to go scary fast.

 

This can be explained with math. I updated this and added the YFZ and R. The banshee calculator seems to be off because I haven't had a chance to verify the information. Also the 01 raptors had different 2nd gears which is why they have a different entry from the 02-03.
