Default any yfz owners have the same problem?

I was just wondering if any of you guys w/ a 450 have a problem with the water pump cover leaking after a while. It did it when i first got the quad and I had it fixed. Now its doing it again. Not a major problem..its a slow leak, but its still an irritating problem.
just wondering.

It hasn't happened to mine yet, but it is a common problem with the YFZ...

...go to YFZ CENTRAL and do a search and you will find a ton of info regarding it.

The weep hole in the water pump cover was leaking!

The bearing in mine had gone bad from what I know that it has happend to some of the early 04's.
I replaced both seals, impeller shaft, and the bearing and have not had a problem as of yet. But it took about 8 months for it to happen the first time.

You should have taken it back to the dealer when it first happend, and made them fix it.

Actually mine started doing it the last two times I went out. I hear its a defect on the first YFZ's that came out.

The YZF-based motor as well as the CRFs (both water-cooled) have been know to drip some water... no big deal... just replace the gasket/o-ring.

I did take it in the first time. All that was fixed was the gasket(replaced)...but my warranty is about up in 2 weeks and im not going to pay for a 3 year deal at 880 bucks...
