Mine broke almost exactly 1 year to the day I bought it, and it was 1 year of hard riding. When it broke it was set up full on drag racing, solid struts all around and a wheelie bar.
Actually it didn't break, the *dogs* that engaged second gear lost their edges and started slipping. I immediately replaced reverse, 1st, 2nd, 3rd with 02 components. (02's are much better gear ratios than 01's anyway, and worth the effort for that reason alone)
My VIN is in the 27,000

Well the raptor and the yfz are totally diffrent. The yfz has been tested to the bone before they let it out and has not been a fast project. I heard over a 4 year project actually. So in reality the raptor came out in one year. while they where still wroking on the yfz. it was just hidden. It was almost something yamaha threw out to get back into the fast racing scene but they noticed that the rappys are nutts when uncorked and threw a good tranny in and have not had problems since. Alot of happy buyers and if i could i would take one too . You wont have the same first year problems that the rappy had guartenteed...
