According to Kelly Blue Book, a 2x4 2003 Big Bear would have a trade in value of $2220 and a retail value of $3260. A 4x4 version of the same bike would have a trade in value of $2720 and a retail value of $3970. I like to use the average of the trade in value and the retail value as a starting point for what I think the bike is worth and go from there. These values are assuming the bike is in good condition.
