The ball-less. Thats funny.

If they took an R1 motor and put it into a quad, re geared it so that first gear was not FASTER than any other production quad to date's TOP speed, the moment you gave it
any throttle..It would have so much power that it would spin the tires violently, or if there was traction, literally jump out from underneith you.

I have on board video that I took of myself doing 170 mph on interstate 15 aboard my R1. I know about high speed stability.
It wouldnt be there in a quad. Not a chance.

I agree that a QUAD w/ the same gearing as a streetbike would be rediculous and would not be stable NO WAY @ 175mph. It would not handle anything over 85 mph too well. But geared right would get there quiker than a 660 motor. Im sure the quad doesnt get to go in the wind tunnels like the BUSA.

I don't see why they couldn't. BMW makes one (though only available in europe currently) that is 1130cc, twin-cylinder, fuel injected and four-vavles per cylinder. 85 horses and 72 foot/pounds of torque, does 100+ MPH out of the box $25Gs I hope they do make one, because I will do whatever it takes to aquire one. Sounds awsome.

No, unfortunately I could not find to much on the net about it (that wasn't all in german) and the pics were hardly worth looking at but if you goHere you can scroll all the way down and order the January 2003 addition of ATV Action and it has a full article on the quad. If my scanner was working, i'd scan and send it to you, but it broke Anyway you should check it out, its koo
