Good Times!
Went riding tonight and had some fun...raced a piped/jetted raptor and walked all over him....then a TRX450R came over and wanted a piece of me. We raced 3 times and 3 times I beat him, I would leave him like 3-4 quad lengths behind. I talked to the guy and the bike is stock and has had it for 4 months, he said it cost him $11,000...I think that is WAY too much money for a quad if you wont be racing it. Why would someone do something like that? If I wanted to go fast I would just buy a banshee and use those extra $5,000 for mods! He also asked me what my quad had and I just didnt answer, what would you guys have done, answer honestly or just plain lie?

How many lengths did you put on the Piped Raptor? Did the piped Raptor seem too run better or worse than the 450r? I am not really into lying about my mods....when someone is obviously lying too me it just pisses me off. That person one lies too could be a potential riding partner.

I beat the raptor by about 6-7 quad lengths(raced twice), I would leave him WAY behind on asphault though. I think I just spin too much because on asphault I would leave him like 10 quads behind. That piped raptor beat the 450R and put 2 lengths between them. Looks like Im having traction issues now. Most guys just sit WAY back on the seat when racing and Ive never felt comfortable doing that and just sit right in the middle, maybe thats why I just spin the tires, cuz I can feel the engine revving SOO fast and I have to shift really quick.
The guy said that with financing and everything (taxes, plate and stuff) he would end up paying $11,000. I dont doubt it one bit, we only have one dealer in the valley and they are crazy, they are usually charging $1000-$1500 above other dealers (Chaparral).
BTW...11,000 pesos = $1,000 I love the US Dollar
