My front diff seal is leaking. (the one on the driveshaft)
Anybody ever changed one? How big of a pain is it?

 

I changed mine about a year ago. It's a pain in the a#@% because you have take the front
u-joint apart. You need a good sturdy c-clamp to undo it. After that, I used a pipe wrench(i taped the jaws) to hold the yoke while i unscrewed the nut on the diff. Once the yoke is removed, changing the seal is easy. Good luck!
