Default Grizzly 660 vs Kingquad 700!!!!!

I don't know how fast the Grizzly is, but a great source confirmed that that Suzuki's Kingquad 700 does 72mph..... That's scary fast for a...dare I say; a utility vehichle or a rocketship!!!! Can anyone give me the top speed of the Grizzly. Thanks for the info.

62.4 by my new garmin vista GPS with WAAS enabled. That is supposed to make it more accurate. The speedo will say around 67/68/ on a flat hardpack. The Yamaha speedo's are a little generous.

My griz will do 67mph on hard pack with the tires at 7 psi in 26" tires which would correct the speedometer. I would put it against anything on the trail. If I wanted to I could easily install heavier clutch weights to engage sooner and I could get at least 2 to 3 mph faster. I would loose a little bottom end, but I made it up with the pipe and jetting. I lost 2 to 3 mph when I installed my EPI clutch kit. I really like my bottom end right now so I wouldn't do it unless I was trying to prove a point.

64 on some Lowrance GPS. Thats downhill all out. Best possible speed I will ever get out of it period. Shows 69 on the speedometer and the rev limiter is hitting hard. Only hits 69 for just a split second, and on the same run, it won't do it every time. Half the time it gets 68 on the speedometer here, and of course its always hitting the rev limiter.

Mine is about 5mph slower using the GPS (which I believe a lot more than the speedometer)

God damn, I'd never want to take a utility quad that fast.

It can be scary as hell. You see all the arguements on how fast they can go and there not meant for it. The grizz topped out is a little intimidating.

Anybody considering one? I am a Yamaha guy but for the same price you get more cc's EFI and it is claimed to have more power? Now I know it is a new model and there might be some problems but as of now all the write-ups have been impressive. So lets here some thoughts on this. I am not condemming the Grizzly because I am actually considering one, but with the success of the past KQ's it has to be considderd.

I think the KQ would be a good one to get. But mine's paid for and in prime condition, and will do everything any other quad will do other than maybe win a couple drag races. So I plan to hang onto it for a while. I don't see how all these people upgrade quads every year, or own like 4 brand new ones every 2 years. I guess there's a lot of folks with cash to burn out there.
