Dont take the chain off. As you are sitting on the quad, take the right side tire and hub off. Pull the allen screws out of the large axle nut on that side. Now the really hard part, get a huge crescent wrench and a four foot pipe. put the crescent on the furthest nut out and install pipe. START JUMPING UP AND DOWN!! For real though, the nut sucks to get off and may take two people. Hope this helps

The axle slides out to the left (chain side) thru the swing arm. loosen the axle as if you were going to adjust the chain tention and unthread the two nuts that are tightened to the swing arm and take off tires and the right hub. the bearings you may have some trouble with considering that the beaings have been there awhile. lots of lube and some hitting with a hammer or malet. good luck...

Dont take the chain off until the axle nuts are off or you will never get them off. After that, move the chain out of the way. As for torquing the nut, get the first nut on there tight then the second one the same. I dont torque them, I just make it tight. Then reinstall the allen screw.

Dont forget to retorque the locknut after you have ridden around a little. They do settle and will need another go with the wrench.
