Anyone heard of charoleau's gap in Arizona?
we had a crazy night last night, we had to rock crawl 9 miles out of charoleaus gap last night, with 3 dirtbikes w/o headlights.... if you have heard of , or know anything about charoleau's gap(its an insane rock crawling experience especially on dirtbikes!) respond. By the way my friend's stock 88 EFI toyota pickup made it all the way up!!!!

anyways, we left our houses at about 12 in the afternoon, got there at about 1. my friend cody and i were on bikes(he on an xr200 and me on my kx 125) and we went ahead on the extreme 4x4 trail about 4 miles, then we came up to a 80 degree angled rock wall. after about 10 tries and 10 burnouts my friend alex in his toyota made it up, about 5 hours and 5 miles later, we decided to find a way out. there was supposed to be a connecting road at the end of the 17 mile "trail". so we went on, and on , and on for a loong time. we went soo far that the trail had ended. i guess we went farther than anyone usually goes, because there wasmt a clear trail. we decided to turn back, so we did. it was 7 o'clock and dark by this time. about 10 mins back up the boulder trail, my friend cody on the 200 dumped his bike into a big rock wall. he broke his clutch perch , so we had no choice but to throw his bike in back. since we had 5 people and two bikes and a truck with 2 seats, this was a problem. we had to have 2 people in the back of the truck, holding the 200 up. it fell over several times, and when i was in back, i got bucked out. when it was my turn to ride my bike down again it was about 11:00 PM and we still hadnt gotten ahold of anyone, due to lack of service... we had about 9 miles to go still, and we averaged a slow speed of 2 miles an hour. we all thought(everyone in our group was 17 or younger) that we were going to be camping out in the middle of nowhere. well, after about 4 more hours , and one near-flip-over, we could see my dad's spotlight at the bottom of the mountain. riding my bike with only my friends headlights in extreme 4x4 roads(which were especially bad due to erosion) was the hardest thing i have ever done in my life. We got down to our parents at about 3:30 in the morning. we all wanted to just collapse, and our parents were still crying, (they thought we rolled off a cliff and all died or something) it was a punishing ride both in the back of the car , and when i was riding my bike. we all made it out, and all survived, thank god!!!! i dont think i am going to go back there again....
