Once again Wolverine, scrambler500
i owned a yamaha.....
i put 5000 miles on it.....3000 of those in its first year
ive got 1300-1500 on my scrammy, and i havent touched it yet....my only prob is i had to replace the air filter.....big deal. and trust me, i ride this thing hard in conditions i think polaris didnt intend.
on the kodiak, i busted the front A-arm in the first 1000 miles. blew the electrical (winch set up sucks on the kodiak) at about 1500. i mean it was a great machine, but that suspension just plain sucked.......i did love the tranny though.
polarises used to be behind, but theyve caught up extremely well, and are on par with everyone else.

thats what my uncle said about his polaris 500 HO he said he tried his friends forman. and because he rides it all the time so I think he got so used to it that he forgot what uncomfortable offroad riding really was. he said he did not like the forman because it hurt his back. he said that the swing arm was so much less comfortable than the IRS. I think he might be turing into a wuss.

i own a yamaha, and beat the snot out of it.....personally, i dont think theres any reliability diff between it and a polaris anymore....2 yrs ago id have to agree with u. but as of now, theyre near equal..... polaris has come a long way
i was a diehard yamaha fan until i got the scrammy, and its just a great quad, and polaris did a good job on it.
if i had to do it all over again, i wouldve waited the yr on the kodiak so i could get a 450, but id still choose a scrammy after.
i dont regret my choice at all

well i wanted a sport quad, but i couldnt go w/o 4wd as it would be completely useless where i ride.....i looked at the wolvy, but downsizing from a kodiak just didnt seem right, looked at a prarie....and ugh, dont even ask......that kills the idea of a SRA with a diff lock......kodi went IRS, and vinson was limited slip.... that and the polaris dealer rearranged the entire showroom just to let me test drive it....

yah thats one of the only 3 thing that I personaly dislike about polaris.
1. the weight
2. the price
3. the auto trany
things I do like are.
1. the tons of ground clearence they give you.
2. they make so many 4x4 utiity sizes.(choices)
3. the lack of a real good ammount of cool after maket stuff.

yea the weight does suck.....but ive ridden sportsmans since i was 10.....so the weights something that has grown on me....the scrammy seems like heaven.....
as for price, they gave me bumpers, skid plates, headlight guards at list price, no tax........funny how the scrammy counts as a piece of farm equipment
