My question is why would they of put grease fittings on the Kodiak when they don't have them on the Grizzly, seeing the 660 has been out since 02, and never had problems, why would the add it to the Kodiak.

Stumppuller - The IRS for the 05 Kod has been slightly updated since the grizz. It's designed to be slightly less cushy and also less tippy. I'm not sure what caused them to put the zerks there but I'm not sure it matters - they are there. I'm not sure about the grizzly 'never having problems' either. I know several folks who ride primarily water trails and have had quite a few problems with their grizz's.

NP bip, hope you find one. I can take a digital pic of it if need be.

Lightman...Thanks for finding that adapter. I went down to autozone and picked one up on my way to work. I have not tried it out yet but I am sure it will be what I need. Autozone was the last one on my list to go to. By the way...... how much grease should I squeeze into each zerk? Thanks again

No problem guys, glad to help. As far as how much grease to put in, I was informed that these types of bearings have reliefs on the other side so if you fill it too full of grease it just spits it out the side. You'll hear it crackle and then pop as it shoots some grease out, same as a truck. As people have posted, if you have it a few shots every couple rides, it will push moisture/old grease out.

Guess what guys, after all that searching to be able to grease the suspension (which was totally worth it since it's necessary for maintenance), I still have the squeaking! I've determined it's my rear brake. With only about 10 miles on the quad so far, that's pretty annoying. I'm not sure what adjustment it might need etc. My prairie's brakes never made a peep.

Glad I'm not the only one My brakes are squeaking too.

I can only hear it when I go slow, but it's really annoying. I ride the rear brake a little to heat it up some and it makes it better for a little while...

I have 8hrs on my machine.

NoFace let me know if you figure out why the brake is squeaking.
