Default differential oil coming through the vent hose?

Maybe the gear oil is wetting the airfilter and washing off some of the airfilter oil. That may be why it is red. Does the red oil stink like gear oil?

The gear oil, or grease, is dark colored and smells strongly of sulfur. Its also hard to wash off anything it gets on.
My kodiak does the same thing, and it goes thru quite a bit of lube, so keep an eye on the diff fluid levels, you dont want it going dry, especially the front diff.( if you have one)
