i've fixed a couple of those stuck choke plungers....supposedly theres a new cable out that wont let water intrude but I dont see how water could get in the handlebar end oft he cable anyway. We used a little marine type wheel bearing grease on the last one- we'll see how it works. I used teflon spray and silicone on mine. has worked for over a year now..

You do need the battery to run. You will burn up the magneto, IT IS NOT LIKE A CAR!!!!! A CAR HAS AN ALTERNATOR TO RUN THE CAR!!!!! The last time I checked, ATV's do not have alternators. If your battery is shot and will not hold a charge, REPLACE IT!!! You will have more costly problems if you don't

I dont think so. I used to have a warrior and one day on a trail ride the battery cable came off but it still ran fine. The only thing was i had to connect the wire to my battery using my hand to start it every time that shut the quad off.

I understand that, but it will fry your magneto!!! Yes to get you out of the woods it will work but I can assure you that it is not wise fo your bike nor your wallet to continue to do this. ONCE AGAIN, THERE IS NO ALTERNATOR!! So Racer 154 if you want to do that to your bike, thats cool but I can assure you I would not run like that on mine. I would rather be pulled out of the woods than to burn that up
