OK, I got an E-Mail from "Ebay" saying I could purchase an item I was outbid on for my high bid price because the high bidder fell through. Well, here's the E-Mail. Sounds contradicting to me if you read it all.

Yea thats defiantly a scam i mean 1,100 for a yfz 450 lmao he could have put atleast 3,300 to make it some what more real [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

forward it to spoof@ebay.com and all other like it. ebay will email you back and comfirm if its real or fake and take steps to stoping the scam artists.i have gotten many of these scams emails. i usally ask the scammers questions just playing with them,and after i do i get atleast 2 or 3 fake emails saying there from ebay and i need to confirm my username and password and credit card info.i mess around with these guys alot.there doesnt seem to be as many scammers out there now.

 

LOL, I got another one for the same machine but from a different seller. I think I'll mess with em a lil.

 

The way to not get screwed on these deals is to tell them they have to ship COD. If they won't do it, then it is a scam.

 

Sorry you are so far away. I would just tell him I'll see you saturday to pick it up myself which is when he would get the money. Not much they could scam you on there. Unless its stolen of course. Even then I would demand we go down to the local cop shop and have the bike #'s run.

 

i dunno// my uncle bought a piece of machinery from there that was supposed to cost 6000, but ebay wrote 600 and they had to give it to him for 600

 

It looks like he works for a dealer or owns one. If you read his feedback he has sold 2 motorcycles and the buyers left postive feedback saying the bike was shipped. Or they could also be stolen but i dont think its a scam.

 

The problem is, it's not the seller who is E-Mailing me, it's two other people. And I got another one that said he was in the UK and he would pay shipping since he "took it with him". I told him COD or money order, but I never intend to pay! Stupid as$holes.

 

Oh yea then its a scam. Seems like they dont have anything better in life to do.
