2005 Kodiak Grease Fittings
Replace them with some 45 and 90 degree angled one from your local auto parts store. Just get the metric ones. Not sure what size , take one off and bring it with you. We've all had a long dicussion for the last few months about this subject. IMO the best thing to do is replace and then it's abreeze to grease, some think a right angle adapter works too. Here's a link to the thread. Hope you got a few hours...read it all and you will learn a few things.

2005 Kodiak Grease Fittings
Is your 2005 Kodiak a 400 or 450? I noticed on a 450 that it is equipped with a front drive shaft just like in the rear it has U-Joints. The 2005 Kodiak 400 that I have has a CV joint type front drive shaft. I can not see any grease fitting. Do I need to remove a Wheel or the front skid plate to reach them???

Stock, if they are their you shoud be able to see them without removing a thing, just crank your wheels out to get a better view. I did find removing the bottom skid plate helped me hit the front by myself but maybe with a spare set of hands this could be done without touching the skid plate. Again I am new to the kodi line so I can't answer if the 400 has or has not got the front U's and even if removal of the skid plate is really required..like anything new it takes time to learn the quirks.
Best of luck
