I went riding today with my blaster an d a couple of bikes. i took the blaster just to get me there, and i was gonna make the jumps. As i was working on the jump my "friend" took off on my blaster. he didnt come back for like 30 mins, so my other friend chased him down on his bike. they came back in about 20 mins from then. I asked what the F@*! dude! why did you take my quad, he said, shutup ******, its no big deal then he dropped the clutch in 4th and stalled it(this guy sucks @$$). then i jumped on to make sure everything was okay, it worked fine, through 1st and second gear!!! it wouldnt shift up at all! i would try as hard as i could to get it to shift up from 2nd but it wouldnt!!! I tried adjusting the clutch, and it still didnt shift up. I was soo pissed at him i roosted him baaad with a sh!tload of rocks. then i stopped and said it doesnt shift out of 2nd u f@%! face! then i said i hope u have 700 dollars buddy.... cause your *** is payin for it! he said whatever, its not my fault it broke, its a piece of crap... and he has a 81 it175... but he was really cranking on my blaster too. What do u guys think is wrong?? im about to take the bottom end apart right now, but ive gotta let the oil cool a bit. What could be the probleM!?!?

wow that sucks, i would definatly kick that kids a$$! but look at your shift forks, maybee on of them is bent? Thats what happend on my LT, two of them got bent, and i only have 1st 2ed and 3rd.

 

my best guess is broken gears... maybe soemthing broke and is catching

 

okay, i'll hve to look at what my shift forks are in my manual. Im draining the oil right now, and im going to let it cool down because i burned my hand when draining it. anythink i should look for etc????? please help!!! ahh!

 

check the tranny assembly's them selves, make sure the gears spin freely.

If you have never ripped into bottom end before wait untill you can do it with a clear head and a manual. They are not as intimidating as some would make it sound............but not something you want to do while pissed and start throwing parts around, to many small parts that can easily get lost. While you are taking it apart clean and inspect everything to the specs the manual will provide. The parts are not that expensive (try ebay).

 

okay, im going to tackle it tomorrow, and hopefully with a clear head!
