Default Raptor handling vs Predator handling

My neighbor just bought a 2004 Predator, 30 pounds heavier than my raptor but it handles like it is 50 pounds lighter. What can I do to get my Raptor to handle like that? His is wider by about three inches and has that Fox suspension on it... change all my suspension from stock? widen it? Any suggestions?

you could get +2 a-arms and get a +4 axle that make it handle like a champ. for shocks pick up some elka shocks.

if your on a budget you should look into wheel spacers but i have some bad reviews about them. for shocks look at works. they arent expensive and are better than the stock ones.

What Poopy said is what i did. Hmm that sounds weird.

Anyways i have 2+ 1 up A-arms and a 4+ axel And rezie shocks and it handles like a champ.

I store my friends pred and ride it a lot and i would say with these modes there dead even. Sucky thing is we spent the same OTD price on the quads but i have over a grand into mine to make it handle as well.

Oh well the Raptor is still a better looking quad haha

OR try rear wheel spacers. Makes it handle like a different quad, and you dont have to spend 1,000$ for new a-arms and axle. their 70$ for a pair.

Spacers aren't going to make it handle as well as the pred. Not even close.

And i would be scared to try big air with spacers on stock arms and axel.

well i dont know if this guy is ready or needs to dish out almost 1,000$ to make his rappy handle better, try just getting rear wheel spacers, they make SOOOO much of a difference, and take all the tippy feeling right out of it. And your not going to bend anything unless your jumping like 200ft!!

Well I don't see myself catching 200 ft air, I will leave that to the Huevos videos. But I am jumping it quite a bit, 15 to 20 feet and don't want to ruin an axle. the money at that point would have been better spent on shocks. So is the consensus that suspension and widening would be get me there?

Try a G-Force racing axle. their 200$ from rocky mountain ATV and are adjustable up to +4 inches. the problem isnt that the front of the rappy is to narrow, its the rear. look at the bike, the rear is narrower then the front!
