installing front sprockets

Default installing front sprockets

im getting a 12 tooth sprocket and want to know if i need any special tools to install and can i use the stock chain?

no need for special tools... Ratchet and sockets! If yo uhave the size big enough?

anyone know the torque specs on the nut holding the front sprocket...i cant seem to find it in my service manual.

cool..thks, now does anyone know where i can get some detailed info on how to install a front sprocket on a raptor.?

First take off that cheap plastic case saver, if im right its a 32mm nut, my advice would be use a impact gun to get it off, but before you do bend the tabs on the nuts down!!. Put your bike in 3rd gear, have your buddy press on the rear brake, and bump the nut off, its easy as that. If your adding a bigger sprocket youll prob have to add a link to make it fit. Its really east though.

cool thks CT..can i just put the emergency brake on and can i use the stock chain? im going down to 12 tooth. thks

just tighten the chain. since its a 04 raptor the chain shouldnt be to loose to run the ajuster back enough.
