The EX is not a hell of a lot faster than a Warrior, a few mph is all .. but it is WAY quicker to get there. Not to mention better handling, blah blah blah .... EX is a heck of a bike ... still love my warrior tho

the worrior is probibally the most bulletproof bike ever made. not the fasest, not the most nimble, or the best off the line power. but, when others fail, that darn warrior just keeps on keeping on.

If you got a little cash to replace the crappy stock components it can be one hell of a machine! Whoever thinks it can't handle is full of it, it can turn much tighter in the woods than the new 400's, it's weight is a few inches further forward allowing much better turns. All it takes to make it handle is some 11" wide tires on some good rims in the back. My setup now makes me only 1/2" narrower than any of the 400's and with a much lower center of gravity.

Wow, I'm glad to hear all the positives about the Warrior! They're great fourwheelers, and always will be. Especially for the deals you can get on them. Ha I have the Z now, but always bring the Warrior for back up. And everytime I have, either I, or one of my friends has had to use it because of one of the other bikes breaking. That should say something...

Like everyone has said, the Warrior is a proven machine, and as far as bang-for-the-buck goes I don't think there is a better deal out there. I know because I looked.

The used ATV market is loaded with older Warriors for good prices, you can shop around and get the pick of the litter. Sure the 400ex is a more sporty machine, but the used ones won't have reverse, and if you ride a lot in the woods and tough terrain like I do, reverse is not an option but a need. Blazing a trail on a machine with no reverse would be no fun at all, I'm in reverse a lot when blazing new paths since something always comes up that you didn't see coming untill the only option is backing up.

I agree 100% with the reverse.....I would not buy another bike without it....
there are WAY too many times trailblazin' that we need it, or even to just help rock back
and forth out of a tough spot/hole.

I got my 87 for a G and think it was well worth it....came with a plow too.

When i bought my warrior it had all of the aftermarket parts already on it and it only costed me 2 g's. it is a great quad and is fun to ride on trails or just to play around on.
