660r stalls in reverse

Default 660r stalls in reverse

i have an '04 raptor and when u put it in reverse it bogs out then stalls. it allmost acts like its running too ritch, but its not because its fine going forward. let me know what u think. thanx!

Its the reverse rev limiter, and it can be removed.

ok how can you remove the reverse rev limiter, and is there any reason not to??????

it is just to keep the morons from going to fast in reverse. yamaha did this to cover there butts

Hey,
check on your clutch lever. For the brakes.. dont use it..
maybe try? dont know

happens to me too on my 03 if you figure out how to take off the limitor let me know

Well to all of you guys who want to take off the reverse rev limiter it is actually very very simple, even more so then you would think! All you really need is a 10 ohm resister and some electrical tape. For the full instructions check out raptortranny.com it has all the info you will need to do this and more!!! And the best part is it will only cost you about 50 cents !!! So be sure to post how it turned out for all of ya.

www.ripperracing.com has a kit for under 20 bucks that eliminates the reverse rev limiter and still allows the reverse indicato light to work.It's the only way to keep the reverse lite.

Or you can just ground out a wire for the cost of a scotch lock.
