Default need help fixing the ol' warrior!!

ok my warrior hasent stated since mid-winter i just replaces the battery and starter relay around the end of summer but i think they went again there is deff sumthing wrong w/ the electrical like the battery isnt keeping a charge i no the battery is dead becuz the lights dont work ne more and they did before and now the starter relay dosent even tick ne more lik it usta but still didnt start soo my dads friend told him to get a wire tester thingy and check all the wires and see if ne of them r grounded or sumthing lik that i was going to take it to the shop but my dad just got hit w/ a 1700 check so he cant afford it right now and i cant wait ne longer i need to get out a ride for the next 7 days is gonna b realli warm and sunny and my friggen mom wont bring it up to the shop and pay for it cuz she thinks shes put enuff money into the quad alrdy even tho iv paid for everylast nut and bolt this thing has

o and by the way im gonan try and fix this sat so it would b nice to get a clue where to start

Default need help fixing the ol' warrior!! ELECTRICAL!!

Sears has the voltmeter/ohmeter on sale this weekend for 5 bucks, thats what youre gonna need to troubleshoot. Start with fuses, check to make sure none are blown. Then check the voltage on the battery. If its under 12. volts, it needs charging up.
Once its running, check the voltage across the battery, at idle it will be about 12.3 volts, and at 3000 rpm, the voltage should be 14. volts or so. If not, the voltage regulator or the stator, isnt charging the battery.

i just replaced my whole wiring harness and had the same issue the is a ground that controls the whole thing and if it isnt right none of it is.............look for a wire...mine was green and white by the air box.....find it and find your prob i bet

something else if you jump it alot there is a red wire that is the main power its back by the cdi box check it to

i will deff check that out i went to work on it yesturday and the battery died on me its currently charging and will probally work on it wensday or thursday



p.s. for ne of u baseball freaks out there id lik to make the anouncement that i pitched my first game to i came in as a releiver in 3 innings i had 8 K's 60 pitchs and hitting i was 3 for 3
