Default Problems with a conncting rod for a 2001 yamaha blaster. Pleas reply fast.

I just bought a 2001 blaster and the conecting rod is no good so would it be better to get a whole new crank shaft or just the new conncting rod and who would u suggest ordering them from??

i wouldnt get a new crank unless u have to.

so u would just get a new conncting rod?? what about new seals or gaskets or barrons???

if your connecting rod is bad i bet your piston is about shot , ied at least get a new connecting rod , bearings , and seals

Get the new rod with a complete gasket and seal kit. Some of your old seals are probable ok but I wouldn't pass up the opertunity while it's apart.

if it were mine ied do a new piston w/ rings , all bearing , all seals , and connecting rod , and wrist pin

and bore it to the next size so everything is nice and fresh and get the wiesco hot rod kit, cometic full gasket kit and i think pro x and wiesco both make pistons, or maby you could even go for the 240 kit check out www.cycleworksracing.net. they have everything you need and the prices are cheaper than dennis kirk.
