YFZ vs BANSHEE
#71
no doubt...i like banshees but i like the reliability of the 4 stoke. and honestly i dont like the unpredictability of the banshee..Meaning the 4th gear catwalks that come outa nowhere are a bit scary...
Like honestly it depeneds on what your using your bike for...i used to own a modded banshee and on the track it was sketchy. but my modded YFZ has predictable power n i love it on the track....it honestly depends on the riders and the use of the bike

Now the raptor is piped with a trinity stage 5 Full pipe system. has a K&n air filter with out the airbox lid. with new jetting. Look Out banshee..No joke
And the Yfz can beat a raptor..

OMG... You all are agurvating the HE11 out of me about this post!!! So heres my 2cents on the situation.. Stock for stock i dont care who you are the YFZ is better but when you go into modding (i am talking all engine here) The Banshee is alot cheaper to get BIG horsepower increases the YFZ on the other hand is more expensive to get some what big horsepower increase all i am trying to say is if you had to banshee maxxed out in every way its going to beat the YFZ in a drag race even if the YFZ is all the way maxed out.. And its gonna cost you alot more money to get big gains out of the YFZ compared the the SHee...

The first race we thought might have been a rider error (on the Banshees part) but just for good measure we went 2 more times and kicked butt. We know the Banshee owner well and lets just say they were extremely shocked and I would have to say slightly disappointed as they thought nothing would ever touch a Banshee in a sand race. I think alot of people are pretty amazed that there is something out there that will compete and win against the Banshee. Oh and by the way they were equals in riding ability. Ahhh...I really like the YFZ

Let me try to figure something out. Stock vs stock, the two bikes are similar in a dragrace with the edge going to the YFZ. (this is a fact)
Then, you take a banshee, pipe it (good pipes), port and polish it, and its an entirely different beast. WAY, WAY, WAY more power. Enough to
just blow a yfz away in a drag. I know this because I had a Quadzilla and got beat (repeadedly) by a piped, and ported banshee, yet I SMOKED the stockers.
Either your story doesnt add up, or there was something wrong or done incorrectly with the banshee in question.

YFZ vs Raptor is close, it mainly differs on riders capablitly. I raced my firend in his piped YFZ and I lost and then he raced me with my raptor vs his YFZ and I lost on the YFZ cause back then I didn't know how to launch very well.
MIke.

I raced my 100% stock, 3hrs on it, YFZ against Ford_Forgotton's piped and stuff Shee this weekend at some sand pits. The ONLY time I beat him was when I had the paddles on. Other then that, all I can say is WOW. I'm impressed enough with the "crappy running Banshee" (as he said it was) that I want one as a second bike.
I also have a few pounds on him.
I would say it's all about the rider. Both are fast. I want to make mine faster now
