Default Tranny or clutch failure???

This weekend I stalled my brother's warrior on a hill, when I got back down the hill I started it put it in gear and it wouldn't go. After about 2 minutes started it again put it in gear pushed the throttle and it went with out any problems.
Anyone know why it may have done that?
Tranny about to go out?
Or could it be the clutch?
Or something else?
