Default Raptor Choke

I think that my choke may in out of wack, The thumb lever has alot of play in the cable, I ve adjusted it but still seem to be the same. Iam pretty sure that it is affecting the way it idles, seems to run fine, Could there be something holding the choke open or shut?

Mine broke, about 6 months after I bought it, the new kit from YamahaofTroy.com was like $12?, maybe $13.

Mine did that. i took out the cable and the black screew thing off the carb where the cable goes in, and take out the little plunger and clean it and where it goes into, make it so it can slide in and out pretty easisly...

The spring might have corroded too located with the plunger at the carb. When I had my 2001, you couldn't get the spring without buying the plunger. I just went to the hardware store and bought a spring. Had to cut a few coils from the spring but it worked fine. Was less than $1 instead of like $27 if I remember correctly.
