Perhaps I'm confusing the designation of older twincam models and the use of the acronym dohc. My apologies for the mistake.
I still believe that it holds true that engines with two cams per cylinder bank are typically higher revving engines designed to make peak hp at higher rpms and also requiring higher rpms to achieve peak torque. Most dont have the bulk of thier torque availible until higher in the rpm ranges than a typical single cammed engine.

The Ford Taurus SHO, Yamaha engine was a sleeper/sleath car in its time period and had the looks of a family sedan but if I was to own one it would have to be the first few years with the 5 speed transmission because later on and I can't remember the years they only came with the auto.

Yes - but never put into production. Pontiac and Mopar worked together to make a Pontiac 427 HEMI with TOHC. From what I understand the 3rd cam was used to operate the mechanical port fuel injection.
