hi, the other day i was racing my raptor [ 05 bone stock] downhill [ not a very steep hill] andi got to my top speed which because it was downhill will probably be over 75mph by a little bit. any way it didnt take long to get there it was around 5.5 ,6 maybe 7 seconds. isnt this a bit fast or is this just normal of is my quad slow? cos i hear that 6-7 secs is what u get off tarmac so on grass downhill and it dint take very far either maybe 150m. is this about right?

How can you judge how fast you are getting from 0-75 mph?

no, cos i start off in 3rd it only two more gears and i judge time by counting an thinking i better apply brakes very quickly or i will go into a 15ft hedge. lol.

Shifting in less than a second is pretty easy, but starting in 3rd isn't going to get you the fastest 0-75. I haven't driven a raptor yet but I heard that launching in 2nd is slower than first so 3rd would be that much slower.

true, but i was simply going for the 75 mark lol, but down hill it dosent require power for forward movment like it does on the flat, it seems to just pull at the way and did not struggle, seems strange but thats what happened lol. you have to remember that i was reving alot as wel. i think on a raptor if you set off in 2nd then you will go faster thant going from 1st then 2nd as it wheelie in 1st and 2nd gives you torque and more speed after the 1st second, but thats just my opinion.
