banshee gurus needed
#1
my freind has a 2000 banshee and he just got it out of the shop (yamaha dealership) and they rbuilt the motor on it. they went .50 over with wiesco pistons and they rejetted it also. it cranked fine for the first day of breaking in, but now it wont crank with the kick starter when its cold you have to push/pull it off, then after that it cranks on the first kick. we've tried new plugs, remixed new gas with golden spectro right around 45:1, and drained the tank and put the new gas in. what else can we try to do before we take it back and he gets his **** rpped off again. they said they dont warrenty 2-stroke rebuilds. the plug color is brown also.
all help would be appreciated.
thanks, everette
p.s. it is bone stock except for the rebuild, stock pipes and silencers, air filter, carbs everything is stock.

Go buy a compression gauge and do a compression check... You should have at least 125psi on both cylinders.. Buy some starting fluid and check for leaks around the intake. ( spray it on it when its running) if it revs up you got a leak...
