my buddy has a 440ex with a yoshi competition full system and k&n(obviously jetted also). i have a stock 05 raptor. he weighs 115 i weigh 195. 300 foot drag on hard packed dirt. i'd win right?

 

i say it all depends on who done the work on the 440 and if they knew what they were doing. I remember back when raptors first come out there was a boy around here local that had a 440. There wasnt a raptor at that time could touch him, but he knew how to ride and his engine builder knew what he was doing. one thing that also hurts u is the weight, it dont take much weight at all to make a difference.

 

i think that because he has all of those mods it will be close, but i thnk that the raptor will win. if anything you can beat him by speed because a can get my raptordoing 75mph over 300 ft which is a speed he can not match. but i believe you will win, let us know how it goes.

05 660 raptor- stock

 

A stock Raptor?................Don't be too surprized if he takes you in 300ft.

 

if that motor is built right as someone else said you dont stand a chance. a well built 440 is capable of well over 40hp. stock raptor is somewhere around 36hp. he weighs less and so does his quad. so if he can handle the quad, and if it is what it should be; you dont stand a chance my friend. now if you get a good pipe then you may have a chance.

 

I have raced a few 440's in the sand and they handed me my a$$ and that is with my mods and running good. Hard pack may be a different story but it will all depend on the take off and the traction you can get. When my raptor was stock I raced my budies YFZ450 on hard pack and beat him 10 out of 12 times all at the start. Let us know how it goes.

 

roflmao it would be way over 300ft before you hit 75mph

 

i was thinking the same thing. Even with my pipe in fifth gear it has an overdrive like pull to it.
