Default the best mid size quad

my friend is looking for a quad that he can screw around with but will last him for a while(300-400). He is used to riding another friends old bayou 250 which he is getting bored of and wants more performance. He decided its time that he got one. He is looking to buy a quad in between 2000-2500. Please with all of u utility guys knowledge help me out. When helping people look for quads I know much more about sports. Please address these issues in ur responses. Handling, mantenance etc. the quads r a RANCHER, WOLVERINE, BIG BEAR, PRAIRIE. which one used in this price range is better than the other. plus any other suggestions of models is god. thanks.

hmm, the ranchers are good quads to have. They are fun and reliable. Also, the older 400s and 300s prairies are fun and last forever also. Thats if you dont want the 360. I see many of these quads in my area and both are bullitproof. not to sure on the others.
