Default Saw first Raptor 700 today

I stopped by my local dealer to see if they had a Raptor 700 in yet, and they had just unloaded it from a truck and had it in the back putting it together. It didn't have the wheels/tires on it yet, so I could not sit on it and get a feel for the ergonomics. They were making comments in the shop that is it definitely smaller than the 660 and is close to the 450 in size. It looked good what I saw. I'd love to ride it. They said it will go to the showroom, as it was not pre-sold.

Ok guys i have a raptor 700 that i got about 3 weeks ago. it is awesome!! it is way smaller and it is like 25 lbs lighter than the raptor 660. it handles like a yfz but much softer ride. I know this cause my best friend has one. this machine is a trip i have taken it on trails, sand, and dragged it. So far it has done everything that yamaha advertised. My buddy on his kfx 400 is slower than me redlined in 4th gear and him redlined in 5th gear this bike is awesome. I am racing a flat track race this sunday I will let you guys know how it handles during that. this bike is only 27 lbs heavier than the kfx400 and it is lower and wider. awesome!!

Its lower to the ground and a few lbs lighter. The new Yamaha Raptor uses a-arms and steering right off the YFZ450 which makes it 2" wider than the previous Raptor. The 2006 Raptor also has a 32" seat height which is 1.9 inches lower than before. 700R- Dry Weight 396 Lbs. 660R-398 Lbs.
