AGREED!!!
I don't know who is crying more, him or all you guys bashing him. Obviously there is not enough riding land for all of us, I have to haul my quad on a trailer for at least 25 miles to get to legally ride it and I'm not crying. If everyone of you can say you have never done anything wrong then I say go ahead and bash, but if not then give him a break...

Out ran the ol PO-lice back in the day with a beat-up peice of $%# T/A if you can believe it, decided to go for it, gotta do it at least once in your life. She was a hairy one, middle of the night, backroads twisting everywhere... it was awesome. I thinkI can thank the dusty conditions more than driving skill. Regardless, in the morning there were a pile of tickets waiting for me when the coppers woke me up. Nothing they could prove, however... They had grins on their faces, I know they had as much fun as I did, and the initial stop was over nothing, a routine check.
Now aside from the fact that he drive a few miles on the road (the illegal part):
Believe me guys, everyone's getting down on him for running from the cops - sure its bad if you say killed someone, but if he's gonna be losing his quad and getting fined bigtime, only a fool would wait to get hammered on by a role-wearing cop thats gonna push himself all over you. Sure, some of them are reasonable, but when the chips are down and it's time to make a decision, it takes some guts to go ahead with it.
Society has made everyone blind to taking a chance and neglect to acknowledge thant having ***** (AKA courage) is actually a good thing. People are too damn submissive nowadays!
And I don't want to get into everyone picking apart "*****" in this context - whether its for good or bad its something to admire.
Now if he did something that was serious it would be another matter althogether.
Just my opinion - I'm older now and don't do those things anymore, but it the right thing to do at the time. Later!!!

Eh, next time you run kid, take a gun and shoot at em, they like that kind of stuff and they will most likely shoot to kill, and you will not have to worry about being chased again.

The reason for the stiff penalties is probably because all the other @ss hats like this kid do the same thing. A few lose their bikes, they'll stop riding illegally. He's giving people who want to shut down places an excuse. A poster child of what's wrong with our sport.
You need to learn to work to find the proper way to bring about change. Get involved with a local group. If you band together, ride legally, and act like a responsible adult, people will take you more seriously.
Not everyone has a riding area in their backyard. I load mine up in the truck and drive 55 miles to the closest riding spot to me. Take me over an hour to get there. But it's legal (and some beautiful land it is).
