I absolutely looovvvveeee my Raptor! I went out tonight and rode with my wife and my son on his little E-Ton 50. My wife has a 00'400ex. I have to say, stock, the Raptor cooks! I weigh almost 230lbs. The Raptor fits me like a glove. After riding the Raptor, I tried the 400ex. It felt like I was riding a sport utility quad... no power and way too small for me. I'm not ******* the 400, but, I have to say, the Raptor is much more of a machine. I think that Yamaha did a good thing by coming out with this quad. I am going to Sand Mt. in Nevada this weekend, I'm going with about 6 other guys, 1 has a 440ex, 1 has a 400ex, 1 has a 00' Banshee (stock). We're gonna be racing all day long. I'll give a full report when I get back!

RaPteR316 You got the right idea put down a good down payment and pay as much as you can a month. Thats the smart way to do it, get the loan done as fast as possible. You wont be hit as hard with interest. On low monthly payments you might thinkyour getting a good deal but in all reality you'd save more with a 2 year loan VS. 5 years.
I only have 2 1/2 years left on my scrambler and I pay $156 a month. I'll probably pay $500 in interest when I'm done.

Well, I only paid $6499 for my Raptor, I rode it 57 miles for a total of 5.5 hours on my first ride, it ran just great on 87 octane gas, I lofts the front tires in almost any gear, AND it will NEVER need a belt. If you like fast comfortable trail rides, you'll like the Raptor, I sold my 400EX to get mine, and while the 400EX did the job nicely, well, the Raptor does it with Authority.

Ride hard, and just as a side note, I think my Tacoma can smoke a Polaris in the mud.....
