Default ATV battery life

I have a 96 kodiak that the battery died in only one year. How long do these batteries last and does anyone have a recommendation as to what battery to buy? the last one i had was and Energizer from Farm and Fleet at over $100

They recommend changing every 2 years, but i've seen plenty die within one year. Especially if your let it freeze when low on charge. If it is just outta juice, then put it on a low amperage charge overnight and you should be good to go.
