Looking for some new skid plates for my raptor. Any advice as to good fitting and durable options would be greatly appreciated.

 

not sure if yur if your looking to make your own or buy them but i made some for my predator, i went to a scrapyard and bought some 1/4" aluminum and cut them and then used u bolts to bolt them to my frame, cost me 30$ and works and looks nice

 

I lack both the skills and time to make them, so purchasing is my only option, but thanks for the input.

 

try ebay,,,i got all of mine there for a little less than a dealership,but not much,,,but a little is better than nothing,,,the armor isnt cheap,as you will find out,but a well worthwhile upgrade

 

PRM make great skid plates

 

For the chassie/frame skid plate I liked the GYT-R. Looks nice.........[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]

 

I still havent found a chassis skidplate that is worthy of its price. 80-120 dollars for an almost flat piece of aluminum. These should be 40-60 bucks. Protection is expensive, but damage can be a lot worse. PRM and GYTR make the best products in this category IMO.

 

If you're looking for one for the swing arm, check out the Ricochet. I got one ofr my 660, it's a real piece of work. It also nice chain guide on it.

I am impressed with armadillo skids

 

I have a lot of GYTR stuff and dont like a lot of it but the one part I do is their skids. The GYTR fits nice and has held up well for me.
