I have a '06 kodiak 400 that had no umph in the thick mud and at slow speeds in steep hills so I ordered a kit from Epi (WE391005) and installed it my self. Installation was a breeze. Now it runs like it should have from the factory, lot's more low speed torque. the kit said it fit up to '05 kodiak's but it worked fine in my '06. I ordered the sport utility model for oversized tires although i am still running stock (Have 26 Gators on order) and have not noticed anything I dislike about it yet. I can spin the tires up easily in deep, thick, sticky mud that used to keep my tires from spinning at all. the only thing I don't like about this machine is the lack of low range, now it is very capable even with that set back.

I ordered it from EPI (search for erlandson performance). As far as the installation goes just take your time and follow the instructions, it should take about 3 hours start to finish, there is nothing tricky about it really. I have almost 1000 miles on my quad, 200 of them with this product installed and the low speed performance is noticebly better every time you have climb over some object or climb a hill from a stand still. In the mud the tires will spin up every time no matter how thick or deep it is every time.. I don't regret putting this kit in at all.
