Get a 400ex, they're dirt cheap right now and so are the aftermarket parts. I have about $4500 TOTAL into mine and it has pretty much everything you can get for a 400EX. Check ebay, in the past week I have seen a few go for under $1500

 

Great news! The guy with the 400EX came down on the price. I picked it up this afternoon. It appears to be in great shape. It has a few scratches on the plastic, but nothing like the Raptor. This one was obviously taken care of much better than the Raptor. I can't wait to do some riding!
