Default warrior clutch plates

Does anyone know if you can add one more friction plate and steel plate to your clutch basket to make it tighten to specs easier. I read on here somewhere that it made the clutch hook up better, also if i do this can i use one of my old friction and steel plates.I am going to use a tusk clutch kit with h/d springs i know there is better clutches out there but money is an issue.Last is there any tricks or any advise when changing the clutch this is my first time. 2000 warrior

there is one trick that i know that i used on a stock warrior clutch system but i think it will work on any clutch on your bolts that go though your spings there is aready a washer get some washer that about the same size as they are put one on each bolt and leave the remaining washer on there so you will have two per bolt and tighten the bolts up to spec. that sould give you a little more grab on your clutch plates.

With the heavy duty springs that come with the clutch kit,it will hook up better than stock springs. No need to add the extra washers with h/d springs.Just remember to soak the clutch fibers in oil before installing them.
