Default Who took out the baffel?

I am contemplating taking out the stock baffel on my 700r. Does it make a differnce other than sound...will it cause my ride to get lean? Or should i say forget it and leave it alone until i get a aftermarket system

Yes. Here is some input.

Its baffle, not baffel.

And no, you are right, its not an english contest. Just plain english.

Taking out the spark arrestor will make it quite a bit louder. Also with the airbox lid off it will let it un coark the beast a hole lot but one bad thing there you will need a Dobeck or powercommander because you will be running lean.

Hornet, Mostly it is just going to be louder and you may be violating some local laws by doing it. Also, it's not the best sound either. It prety much sounds like you took the baffLE out and are pretending to have a MODed Raptor.

When you are ready to make some mods, the basics are; new slip on exhaust (you don't need the header), high flow air filter with an airbox adaptor so you can take the airbox lid off and re-jet the carberator. You can do all that for less than $500 if you shop around and you will enter a whole new world of power.

I took the baffle and lid off the second time I had mine out. It seemed to have more power but it also seem to run lean cause it got a little warmer than normal. I wouldn't do it. It was louder than most other quads I've heard with the baffle out.

Will do starky, but i imagine that you can admit to a difference in a spelling error where the writer has no clue, as opposed to a finger or typing error.

Fact is all this clueless spelling ( and im not talking about typos ) makes these forums really difficult or unpleasant even, to read and spoils the face of your nations obvious intelligence.

Dont mean to be mean, really just meant to be educational.

breaks
throttil
handilbars
spasers
exhuast
ridding
cabil

No real offence meant.

No offense taken on my part, I was just messing with you anyway. My spelling is probably as bad as anybody's.

skindiver,
So what, I asked a question and got an answer from other members on the forum. I don't need you to critique my spelling.
A thanks to the other forum members who ACTUALLY answerd my question. I will leave the new beast plugged up until I can get some cash together to purchase a new exhaust.
I hope I spelled everything correct in here for the newbie
