You do not have to have pre mix you just add gas and go because it is 4 stroke. as for acceleration and power it is amazing it will lift the tires off the ground in first second and third gear if you shift right and im no light guy i weigh like 268 last time i checked. there is a couple of ways to make it loud the cheap way or the expensive way, the expensive way is to spend 300 dolars on an exauhst system the cheap way is to take a broom handle and shove it down the muffler doing this you are breaking out one of the baffles which resticts air flow so it gets louder and you get like 5 extra horse power. when you buy a new expensive pipe thats all your getting is one less baffel or more depending on how loud you want it.

would i have the fastest quad out of all of those? i live in a rural community, so there isn't too much quads here. i want to be the fastest though, so no one can talk smack. the way i look at it, if the quadracer can climb any hill around here, i want a quad that can top that.

how would i go about making the Z loud and mean sounding?

how is the size of it? i'm 185 pounds and 5ft 11in. i wouldn't look like a big ape on it would i?
i still like the banshee, but if it's gonna need to be maintenanced more than a four stroke then i don't want it. i'll be happy with a quad that is faster and better than the quadracer around here.
If you want a fast quad then get a YFZ450. That's what I am getting.

Watch for a used yfz450.For what you are going to spend on the 400ex or the Z400 you could buy a good used yfz or 450R and still have twice the quad.

i'm not gonna be gettin a new quad though. I'm gonna be buying a used one, probably from atvtraderonline. i just want a fast, powerful, hill climbing, jump-worthy quad. I also want it to blow away anything around here.
what's heavier, the shee, or the Z?
i'd rather have the Z cuz it looks like it'll start better in the winter time and go through the snow better. It also looks like it'll have more torque for the hill climbing. plus i don't have to pre-mix the gas. but if i can find a used 450R or YFZ, i'll take it.

I'm not completely sure which is heavier, but they are pretty close. The z might be a little bit lighter. The banshee, because of it's older technology, will feel heavier while cornering, but because of the power will probably feel lighter than the z under acceleration. Something I noticed is that the actual weight of the machine doesn't affect the feel of the machine as much as the technology put into the suspension, ergonomics, and weight balance. My honda recon weighed about the same weight as my warrior, yet the recon felt lighter and more nimble because of the shorter a-arms and different weight balance.
