GaryC,
Send A&B extreme an email. They are a supplier on this forum. He will set you up with a CT in the low $400's. (It will include jets, needles and air box instructions) If you call CT with your mods, they will tell you how to jet your carb and disk your new pipe. (And it will be correct info) It will change your opinion about the shoot out and CT.
Man, I was wondering what the deal was, usually you have very insightful replies.

They could start with a stock system for the base line and then do the pipes. This would give everyone the comparison numbers there looking for. Apples to Apples.

i lvoe all this sh*t, but i do get sick and tired of defending CT, but like i said my pipe speaks for its self. Im almost certain every CT owner on here will agree. i personally have never came a across a raptor that beat me on the hill....EVER, that is when i was just stock with a CT Pipe and K&N, nothing beat me..ever. Like i said dog Allen all you want and CT, but my pipe speaks for itself.
Master Raptor did you add more discs to your pipe when you jumped to the 686? And have you had that thing on teh dyno yet? Also do you have one of teh open tips from CT, i would be curious to see how it run vs the disc set-up. CT dumped the open tip cuz it flowed to much for the stock motor, but a 686 just might work, and i have one of the few open tips lying around my garade somewhere.
MY opinon still the best pipe are the drag pipes, Barkers, LTE's, Sparks and CT. Any bike running the wars in MLK will be equipped with one of the 5 pipe and nothing else. Master are you going up?

This is from the Power Commander Web Site:
The Dynojet Fuel Injection Tuning Link is an innovative piece of software that allows the automatic fuel curve optimization of a Power Commander equipped motorcycle/atv. The Tuning Link software interfaces the Power Commander with a Model 250 Load Control Dynamometer. The Tuning Link software controls both the Dynamometer and the Power Commander at the same time.
By utilizing the Dynojet "Real Time" air/fuel ratio monitoring equipment and latest "load control" Dynamometer technology, the Tuning Link monitors the current air/fuel ratio at over one hundred and forty different points. At the same time, the Tuning Link automatically calculates the correct fuel adjustment to achieve the user desired air/fuel ratio. Once calculated, the Tuning Link uploads these new fuel values to the Power Commander and saves a copy of the file.

Bone stock the 700R signs off at about 6800 to 7000 with the addition of the PCIII you can extend that to about 8000 with some time invested in tuning.

We all have different experiences. Like you, my HMF Raptor has never been beat by another piped Raptor or any piped quad...........but I must say that the Raptors with the CT or LTEs did give me the hardest run. When it came to the 700 I didn't hesitate to buy another HMF.

I have 6 extra disks installed. I haven't had a chance to put it on the dyno yet. The bikes been down for a few weeks. I had a cylinder bolt pull out of the case. This warped the cylinder. It is getting re-sleeved at Hall's. I plan to get it dyno tuned either this or next weekend depending when I get it built. I will let you know the results if the dyno can read that high.
I don't have the open tip. Have you tried it?
