I have a 2001 Kodiak and can't seem to find any performance parts for it. I don't want to do an entire rebuild, I'm just interested in a replacement pipe or muffler, air filter, etc.. Do K&N air filters do OK on quads? I know there was some concern in the past about K&N's being used in very dusty, dirty environments. I see that K&N makes powerkits that change jets too. Has anyone ever tried them? I can find advertisements for K&N power kits/air filters for a lot of other quads but it seems that for the Kodiak the parts listings stop at 1998. I can't find any other performance parts either. @#$*@!!

K&N does not yet make a filter for the 2000 and above Kodiak. I recently bought a UNI filter for my 2000 Kodiak but have not had a chance to try it. Supertrapp is making exhaust for the 2000 Kodiak and lists it on their website. I have one on order from a local dealer but am not expecting it for another month or two.

I bought a Dynojet kit for my Kodiak directly from Dynojet. Dynojet makes the jet kits used in the K&N kits. Go to www.dynojet.com.

 

I have had a K&N filter on my 2000 Kodiak since the day I bought it. The filter for a 99 is the same.

 

Two quick questions.

Did you have to rejet the Kodiak when you added the K&N?

Where did you get the filter?
