Default Warrior Power Ideas

I need some ideas on how to boost power on a yamaha warrior, prefereably soemwhat cheap but if it is expensive would it be worth getting or should i just swing for a raptor, cause the warrior is a beast and mine is a tank.

I'd say either an edelbrock carb or high compression piston and cam. The piston and cam will give a little more power, but the edelbrock has more advantages than just power. It replaces that annoying bog all warriors have with instant throttle response, it makes spending hours on jetting a thing of the past, and no more choke to mess around with when it's cold.

I was considering the cam and piston, but i lost my patience with the stock pos carb and decided on the edelbrock, and hopefully i'll have it when I get home from school friday.

Hey driver doyle one thing i noticed is u race yet u have no carb on there. As someone in this thread, carbs make the throttle responcse quicker, i was just wondering y u didnt have one or is that one of the secrets

Your right on the carb.... (AustinOneal on the forums) Put this carb together using the old carb..He is really good when it comes to carbs....And it has really good throttle responce..I just dont see going out and buying a high dollar carb when it is not needed...And with that Computer Programable Dyna CDI box it uses less fuel becouse it returds and advances your timing....And the reason we know that is becouse after we took the stock CDI box off and Put the Dyna on it was really rich and we had to go down on the jets...And thats a good thing that 111 octain fuel is not cheap....
