So if you think a bike cant keep up with a buggy, think again!! Bikes have the fastest times in Baja and sadly they beat quads by 4 hours and beat the $200,000 trophy trucks by an hour so dont think for a sec that quads have equaled or surpassed bikes. At least untill I race Baja in 2008, then quads will beat the bikes!!!!

Apparently you really don't know what evidence is nor proof.

Where is your evidence? Nobody in here has posted actual times because it is common sense that the dirtbikes rule in racing as far as lap times go. I can't believe you are stupid enough to argue the MX times.
can't make a valid point? according to whom? you? give me a break...

there is only one course at baja and everybody runs the same course, and Johnny camble on his XR650 does top 100Mph in sections of the race. True the trucks get higher speeds but they have a slower average speed for the whole course.
But on that note a Banshee holds the record for the fastest time at Pikes Peak!! Nothing is faster up that hill than an ATV!!

I thought they ran the same course. cctman needs to watch "Dust to Glory". Those big trucks are much slower in the tight technical area's.
But in all fairness, comparing a Trophy Truck to a Dirtbike is off subject. Unless the subject is showing cctman his ignorance, which is what evereyone has been doing this whole thread.

IF your going to pull the drakar bike card fine... try comparing your drakar bike to a full on WRC, or rail buggy. Do you realy want to open the can of worms of 2 wheel vs 4 wheel? Then you better keep this down to stricky dirt bike vs ATV, and by dirt bike I don't mean drakar style bikes nor super bikes.

But nobody puts aluminum on a stock quad, that I'm aware of anyway.
