Last time I checked about all ATV's sold today have round tubing.
OK that small word you use "about" is the reason why I agree with your above statement.

So if you think a bike cant keep up with a buggy, think again!! Bikes have the fastest times in Baja and sadly they beat quads by 4 hours and beat the $200,000 trophy trucks by an hour so dont think for a sec that quads have equaled or surpassed bikes. At least untill I race Baja in 2008, then quads will beat the bikes!!!!
I don't think those trucks run the same course as the bikes. If you look on Isle TT. WRC websites and many other Baja sites you will see the Baja actually beat the motorcycles by a pretty good measure. It has always been this way. Not to say of they made the course extremely small that the bike wouldn't have a chance but those bikes can't and don't carry 100+ mph speeds like the vehicles do over desert terrain.

Apparently you really don't know what evidence is nor proof.

Where is your evidence? Nobody in here has posted actual times because it is common sense that the dirtbikes rule in racing as far as lap times go. I can't believe you are stupid enough to argue the MX times.

can't make a valid point? according to whom? you? give me a break...
According to everyone in here. You need a break from the crack pipe and that is about it.

there is only one course at baja and everybody runs the same course, and Johnny camble on his XR650 does top 100Mph in sections of the race. True the trucks get higher speeds but they have a slower average speed for the whole course.

But on that note a Banshee holds the record for the fastest time at Pikes Peak!! Nothing is faster up that hill than an ATV!!

About= ONE. And who says that it is more advanced than a MX bike? It will not go more places than a 80's dirtbike, it won't out run it. Please explain.

I thought they ran the same course. cctman needs to watch "Dust to Glory". Those big trucks are much slower in the tight technical area's.

But in all fairness, comparing a Trophy Truck to a Dirtbike is off subject. Unless the subject is showing cctman his ignorance, which is what evereyone has been doing this whole thread.

Finally, we can chalk ONE up for the ATV's. Hey, no one can win them all right?

give me a break. Thats not even a dirt bike thats a modified 24 hour drakar bike. Heck why didn't you just pull the old super bike card. IF your going to pull the drakar bike card fine... try comparing your drakar bike to a full on WRC, or rail buggy. Do you realy want to open the can of worms of 2 wheel vs 4 wheel? Then you better keep this down to stricky dirt bike vs ATV, and by dirt bike I don't mean drakar style bikes nor super bikes.
It doesnt take the custom KTM 660 to beat it rocket man.. pull your head out and realise. ALLL THE MOCYCLES finished faster than the quads except a few that had problems. there were YZF 450 wr 450 and ever other freakin dirtbike. they all spanked the quads. Go look for yourself... its not a two wheel vs 4 wheel thing. quads kick ***. I RIDE THEM ROCKET MAN. However i aint so neive to think quads have better technoligy that dirtbikes. for focks sake dirt bikes have had aluminum frames for a couple years. so where is this leap years ahead frame technology you speak of? Where is this suspension you speak of? where is anything you speak off? pull your head out of its resting place.. get some cu-tips and clean that brown Chit out your ears and open your eyes for once. Quads kick *** in the slick and nasty. but when there is traction to be had i would way rather have a dirtbike. Only reason i went to quads from dirtbikes is our ranch is all CLAY and in washington IT RAINS EVERY FREAKIN DAY..

Some are square tubing.

But nobody puts aluminum on a stock quad, that I'm aware of anyway.
