How the heck does this u joint come apart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Default How the heck does this u joint come apart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to replace the rear main engine oil seal on my 04 Bruin. Ive got it off but I cant get the u joint apart. I've tried using a vice and putting a socket bigger that the outer diameter of the u joint piece and another the same size on the other side hoping to just push it out but nope. I'm am pulling my hair out trying to get this damn thing apart. Please help!!!

I don't know about that particular quad bot most quads have clips locked on all four inner sides of the joint. If yours does just use a screwdriver to remove them and the joint won't be a problem to take apart.

I got the clips off but i can't figure out how to push the round peices out. Can I push on one and it will come out while the other pushes through, or do they only come out 1 way?

put a socket on the u joint and then hit the socket with a hammer and they will pop out
