noticed a crack today in my engine

I noticecd today a crack in my engine rite next to the starter that is almost half the size of the starter itself and runs in line with the starter. is this somthing for me to worry about. and is there anything i can do to seel it?

im kind of low on money at the moment to spend on my quad so i was wondering how much it would cost to have it fixed and there is nothing i can put there to try and seal it?
sorry the crack runs in line with the starter and is about half the size of the starter. i will try and take a pic of it as soon as possible.

i got the quicksteel from my local quad parts place and i have never used jb weld but i know after the quicksteel dries you can grind it sand it drill it tap it and a bunch more stuff
