I noticecd today a crack in my engine rite next to the starter that is almost half the size of the starter itself and runs in line with the starter. is this somthing for me to worry about. and is there anything i can do to seel it?

 

That might be a problem you want to fix. errrrrr I'd say the sooner the better

 

You had better get that to service and not try to repair it yourself. I am betting you will be
walking rather than riding soon.

 

im kind of low on money at the moment to spend on my quad so i was wondering how much it would cost to have it fixed and there is nothing i can put there to try and seal it?

sorry the crack runs in line with the starter and is about half the size of the starter. i will try and take a pic of it as soon as possible.

 

there is this stuff quicksteel from moose its like $5 or so and i used it to seel my crankcase and havent had a problem

 

People have also done some amazing stuff with JB Weld. just my .02¢

 

whats jb weld? and were can i pick up quicksteel

 

JB weld can be picked up at a parts store for under 5 bucks..Its basically a resin based epoxy that sets up hard as hell..

 

witch would be better to do quicksteel or jb weld.

 

i got the quicksteel from my local quad parts place and i have never used jb weld but i know after the quicksteel dries you can grind it sand it drill it tap it and a bunch more stuff
